Archive for December, 2008
Yesterday, I completed Part 3 of my HBO art collection. How did I complete this task? By using past promos of HBO just a few years ago, I was enjoying it ever since we first had HBO in our home at Hidden Village in Odenton back in 1985, Heather Mist in Severn in 1993, Apple Jack in Pasadena in 2003, and right here in Hanover back in Summer 2008. The reason I dedicated both projects to HBO and Cinemax is because I hear the music a lot of times, I see the promos lots of times, and I see the end cards lots of times. And as of last night, both collections are done.
Now that I saved some room for some leftover images, I’ll have plenty of empty spots to fill until I can finally enjoy my dream as a Desktop publisher.
The big moment is finally here! As we speak, Cartoon Network is airing all of their holiday specials. Everything from Ed, Edd, & Eddy’s Jingle, Jingle, Jangle, Codename Kids Next Door Operation N.A.U.G.H.T.Y., A Johnny Bravo Christmas, Class of 3000 Christmas, to our newest specials like Tom & Jerry’s Nutcracker Tale, What’s New Scooby Doo Christmas, and yes Chowder’s Hey, Hey, It’s Knishmas.
With Christmas only 4 days away, Looks like Cartoon Network, Nick, and ABC Family have shown every holiday special from December 1st 1999 to December of this year. These Christmas specials like these just might come back same time in December 2009. And if we’re lucky, we might see new holiday specials that we’ve never seen before.
Last night at Best Buy, I bought 2 of my favorite shows. One old favorite (A Pup named Scooby Doo), and one of which happens to be my favorite show Chowder. I’m glad Cartoon Network picked out 10 episodes from Season 1 that most viewers liked since the show premiered 2 years ago.
The next Chowder DVD (Volume 2) will even have better the next time Cartoon Network will pick the next 10 episodes from Season 1 and possibly putting the Chowder Knishmas special on the next Cartoon Network Christmas DVD sometime this year or next year.
Back on December 4th, I watch the Chowder Christmas special and it made me filled with Christmas joy! The parts I like in this was when Chowder and Mung were trying to build a Smingerbread house (a reference to a Gingerbread house), Mung going to Endive’s place to buy a Smingerbread house, Chowder and Panini running towards the Knish Kringle display, and Chowder, Panini, and Gorgonzola in the Knish Kringle costume. But the most important part was when Chowder kissed Panini for the first time of his life.
Like I said at the beginning of the month, Christmas cartoons such as Chowder’s Hey, Hey, It’s Knishmas teaches us the true meaning of Christmas, it comes from the heart. That’s why Chowder’s kiss meant when he kissed her. Way to go Chowder!
The holidays are off to a good start. Because tonight, the Chowder Christmas special "Hey hey it’s Knishmas"! is on this Thursday night. Here in the states, we celebrate Christmas the jolliest holiday of the year. In Marzipan City, they celebrate Knishmas (the same as Christmas). Since I saw the preview on Cartoon Network Video, this joyous episode will be the joyous holiday ever in Marzipan City.
You know what? I think this episode will be added to Cartoon Network’s best episodes since Ed, Edd, & Eddy’s Jingle Jingle Jangle. And who knows? This episode might end up in a future Cartoon Network Christmas DVD someday.
The holiday TV season is finally here! Here’s what’s happening this week and for the rest of the month:
ABC Family’s 25 days of Christmas starts off with the best holiday movies and specials. Then, CBS airs the best holiday classics "Rudolph" and "Frosty" this time in HD. Next, Cartoon Network brings in a holiday episode of Chowder where Christmas or should I say "Knishmas" comes to Marzipan City. Plus, all of the holiday specials of Ed, Edd, & Eddy’s Jingle, Jingle, Jangle, Codename Kids Next Door Operation N.A.U.G.H.T.Y., and other jolly specials. As for Nick, they’ll air the jolly Nicktoon Christmas specials such as Sponge Bob, Fairly Odd Parents, and Danny Phantom. As for the them, keep an eye out for new Nicktoon holiday specials and Teenick holiday specials.
So that’s all I have for now. But just in case something comes up, I’ll look on the tube to see what’s coming up. Here’s a hint, one of these Nicktoons will air a new Christmas special and it’s not Sponge Bob or Danny Phantom.
